Contest Rules
Eligibility
The contest is open to any Canadian or American photographer, amateur or professional, who is at least 18 years of age. There is no entry fee. Only original fixed-wing aircraft photos taken by the entrant within the past 18 months (January 2023 to present) will be considered. You may enter work in any and all categories. Incomplete entry forms, such as those without name, email or telephone numbers, will be disqualified.
Photos will only appear in the online gallery after being approved by a photo contest administrator. Skies Magazine reserves the right to disqualify any photos that it deems irrelevant or inappropriate, or which appear to show unsafe operating practices. Entrants who supply incomplete descriptions may be asked for additional information before their photos are added to the competition.
- Preparing Your Entries
- Only high-resolution digital files will be accepted, and must be 300DPI and a minumum of 8 x 10 inches in size.
- Digital images may be submitted in RAW JPEG.
- Uploaded images should be 20MB and under in size, if you have any issues uploading please check the file size..
- Submissions will not be accepted via email.
Notification: All winners will be notified by email or phone. The results will be published in the December/January issue of Skies Magazine. Non-winning entrants will not be individually notified of the results. Entrants grant Skies Magazine the right to publish their photos on the magazine’s social media channels, and in the December-January issue of Skies Magazine, and for use in conjunction with promotion of the Skies Photo Contest.
